Tweet Videos To Your Followers With Screenr

Create a Video Screencast

Videos are a very effective method used for instruction both inside and outside of the classroom. By creating a screencast to record the activity from your computer monitor you will have a visual presentation of the steps necessary to complete a computer based task. With the help of a screencast you can develop tutorials, how-to's, introductions, presentations and more which can be saved on your hard drive or uploaded to the internet for distribution. Here are some of the websites offering free web-based screencast recording services:

To use these services, you will need to register for an account and log in. You can record a silent screencast without audio or enhance the impact of your screencast by including audio via the use of a microphone or webcam. The user interface is very similar for each of these services and installation of the latest version of Java is required. Click the record or create button and you will see a recording frame. This frame can be resized to capture a small portion of your screen or you can select full screen mode. If you are using a webcam, you can resize the recording frame to match the size of your webcam view on your monitor.

The easiest way to send the video to Twitter as a link to your followers is by using Screenr. I often create tutorials with Screenr and Tweet them to my followers. When you are done recording your screencast, Screenr quickly processes and saves your video then provides a text box for you to compose your tweet. The url for the video will be attached to the tweet. You also have the option to send the tweet later or upload the video to your YouTube channel. Videos created using Screenr are compatible for viewing on mobile devices like iPhones.

Great information Ileane, I'm heading over to Screenr right now and give it a go making some videos. Thanks for sharing. Edit: Your Screenr link above is missing the .com and needs editing...

Ileane, I am thinking about screenr. But I can't decide if I want a desktop version or a web version. I am itching to do some screen casts. Great screencast and hub.

I think that Screenr only has the web version. We should talk more about this on The Wire. http://bloggingwire.com
